Bridget's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

Introduction

Caroline is doing very well with her speech and occupational therapy, and it looks like we could even be nearing the end for both therapies. After a year of going to therapy 3-4 times a week, all that free time will be wonderful!

Her speech therapist retested her on Tuesday, and thinks that she is approaching age level speech. She's still working on s-blends and cannot yet do r, th, etc., but some of those aren't expected yet.

Our occupational therapist also just completed retesting Caroline. She needs a bit more work on her gross motor skills, but fine motor is looking great!

We had a large adoptive families gathering this weekend at a park near our home. It was so nice to go and see Caroline and Maggie having a great time, and Caroline fitting in with her age level peers. She climbed on the big & little playsets, ran, jumped and got filthy dirty.

After a couple of days being soaked by the remnants of the tropical storm, it was nice to have time outside and enjoy the beautiful weekend.

Today when she was angry with me over something she said her new favorite phrase: "Oh MAN!" and then "you're not my best friend anymore". Guess things are moving on to normalcy!
