Have you been?

Well, I’ve been up to a whole lot and nothing.

First, we became really busy when Jonnie started having to practice baseball 3x a week. We had new equipment to buy and it was just too easy for anyone to tell me all the things I would need all at once. (I think we ended up making four or five shopping trips to get it all.) Since dh was laid off and our insurance is expiring at the end of the month, I also took the kids in to get physicals, eye exams, etc. (Did you know doctors will only schedule two kids from the same family in a day?) I also had my usual busy Wednesdays and took three different people to see The Passion of Christ. I had two very busy weeks.

Next, being used to not having somewhere to be every day, when the pace finally lifted, I just sat back, breathed in deeply, and enjoyed some time w/ my family. I needed the R & R and I really needed to touch base w/ my dh. I didn’t mean to spend a week and a half on mental vacation but that ended up being how long it took for me to feel ready to do anything new again.

So, back in the swing of things, I thought about the updates I would write but ended up doing something else on the computer. Instead of writing updates for iParenting, I finally made a personal webpage w/ pictures of the kids for everyone, including out of town family.

I spent several hours on it as I really hate the restrictions of pre-made templates and so I used the text section and html to personalize and customize the webpage. Not that it’s super creative and I stole some layout ideas from their templates because I simply don’t have the time to come up w/ my own designs from scratch. Well, so I think. In reality, it is often much easier to write a page in html on a notepad document than it is to try and find ways around template limitations. Sigh!

Anyway, all that to say this: My update this week is my webpage. Come, take a look at our family and leave a message in our guestbook. Let me know what you think and how it looked in your browser.

Best wishes,

Khy

I will post the link here and on the TTM board so you can cut and paste from here or go to the board and click straight from the link.
