*Still waiting on that date change.*

Where to start...

...we have been very busy w/ Jonnie's baseball games. This is his first year and he is making great progress. His coaches are great.

Today, he hit both times he came up to bat. He always swings early and, being a lefty, he hits it too close to first base so he gets out. Right now, to have him hitting three up bats in a row, I am so very happy with where he is.

His coaches were having a problem w/ the things that were coming out of his mouth. They were not foul or anything, just not the right thing to say (talk about winning or loosing while the game was going on, etc.) at a baseball game. To deal w/ this, his coaches took him aside and coached him in bench talk for baseball. What a great group of coaches!

(To keep up w/ Jonnie's baseball team, go to our webpage. There is a page linked right off the front page that is all about what is going on w/ the Red Sox-Jonnie's team.)

Also, Jonnie had another IEP. I didn't get the math goal I wanted but I got permission for his RSP (tutor) to work w/ him on math AND...YEAH!...I got an evaluation at the MIND institute. These people can eliminate or confirm Aspergers syndrome. They are also doing an OT evaluation.

As far as Joshua goes, I am doing a better job remembering to give him his homeopathic medicine. It is so hard because I have to give it to him 4 times a day-but not w/in a half an hour of meals, before or after. And this is a kid who uses ABA, which of course uses food as re-enforcers all day long. Sigh.

He seems to be speaking a few more sentences that are original (not taken from a movie) every week. I think he's having a comprehension breakthrough going on right now. I sure hope I can take good advantage of it.

Also, he had his 11th birthday. We had a party at my dad's friend's house. We swam, ate cake, and opened gifts. Joshua got clothes, a sticker book, and movies. His movies were cartoons and a PBS video about underwater life because he loves underwater anything. He and Zac are Nemo addicts!

Well...it's "Mom..." so I must go.

Best wishes,

Khy
