The ER~
I had to take Sean in twice this past week for his breathing/wheezing/cough. Of course, he sounded fine there. However, our Pediatrician knew we were going, so he had the ER Doctors prescribe Prednisone for 5 days. Well, we are on day 4 and it hasn't worked! usually I see/hear a change right away. NOTHING! In fact, he was worse come Friday morning, so I was off again. They prescribed Ceftin this time and an Epipen Jr in case he has a reaction to it since Sean is allergic to all the other antibiotics other than those given via an IV.
The funny thing about the ER is EVERYONE there knows us! A good friend of mine works there, but they remember us from previous visits. They love my boys and often take those not in for treatment and disappear to McDonald's or to the play room. It helps me stay focused on Sean and his treatment.
Since Sean has been coughing so much, he can't be at school. So he has been doing work at home and loves it. Monday I am going to activate Home hospital since he will not be well enough to go this week thus far. He can't get too far behind. He also can't go to therapies, so they will come to our home and work with him.
Sean's latest phrase is, "It will be my pleasure!" and then he bows. Not sure where he picked it up, but he comes up with some interesting phrases every so often.
Food~
Sean is always hunger, but when he is sick or starting to go into the really bad phase, he starts hording food. He was begging today, actually the last few days for Lucky Charms. We gave in and he is happy.
He was happy when we went grocery shopping and tried some new foods. I hope he keeps up the eating so he can gain the weight he lost the last few weeks.
I need to keep this short. Peter is sick as well and needs me to snuggle with him before he drifts and hacks off to dreamland.
