Shelly's Diary Entries

March 30, 2003

I wanted to update with the results of Sean's ECHO, but we don't have the results yet. I have emailed the Dr again and if I don' t hear something later this mornig, I will directly call the Cardiology Department to find out what is going on. We were suppose to have the results by Friday, but NOTHING! I have been wondering about it, but have been busy, so it hasn't been on my mind all the time. Just most of the time.

Sean did very well and it was neat to see the chambers of the heart. I was so enthralled by it all and was sad at the end. I just wanted to keep watching it. The Tech, yes a tech did it, not a Doctor, would not talk much nor tell me what he was doing. I tried every trick, but his lips were sealed. Now on to the CT scan next Wednesday, April 7th.

Sean was starting to get sick last week and the decision to put him on antibiotics was a wise choice. He is doing better and is back to his bossy self. One more day of March and we have avoided a March hospital stay-the first time since he was born! We worked hard to make sure it didn't happen!

3 days of school is all Sean will be attending from now on. Well, until his body can handle a full week. When he starts Kindergarten in the Fall the Dr recommended 3 days for Sean's health. The school district is contesting that. They can not deny what the Dr recommends, so I know we will have a fight on our hands.

We have pots with wheat grass growing. Sean wanted to plant a garden, but we don't have a yard. I do have a love for pots and plants, so we painted some pots and planted wheat seeds that I had soaked over night. It took them just a few days to sprout and the boys have had tons of fun watching the stuff grow! When it gets to a certain height, I will let them give the wheat grass a haircut with their scissors.

I need to be on my way. My list of things to do is long so I need to find some energy to get moving!

Happy Spring!!!!

Shelly and Sean
