No excuses of why I have not posted--- blame it on pure laziness. *sigh*
I have so much to say about our journey with Jt over the past couple of months. We have had very good days and then extremley bad days.I will not lie and tell you all is well. The bad days are really really bad and I have started to worry about Jt. Once we are settled into our new home I am going to look into counsling for him.

He thinks nothing of hitting me or pushing me over. IN fact this morning he kicked me in the stomach. He is a strong kid and I fear that in a couple years he is going to be able to really hurt me if we ( scratch that-- if I) do not get some control over him! He does not do this type of thing when his father is around nor has he ever been exposed to other people with these behaviors. I have no idea where he has gotten it from. He has this intense anger towards me and this just breaks my heart! I worry all the time about Jt growing up to be a respectable young man with good morals. I worry about other people just hating my child and not giving him a chance becasue they don't understand him. Butyou know what... I DON'T UNDERSTAND HIM!!? How can I expect others to understand my child and give him a chance if his own mother can't!!!

We are having problems with Jt's teacher at school. Here is an insert out of my personal journal explaining what is going on.

Oh my GOSH!!! Am I ever SOOOO glad we are moving!!! The school district my children are in STINKS!!!!!!! The teachers obviously don't care. Without going into to many details as I keep a journal for my children separate from this I will give you the run down.
The school district we are in ( only 1 more week wooohoooo) was given a LOT of money after running into financial problems about 3 years ago. They then proceeded to piss it away on who knows what and now they are in the hole again. They have had to lay- off several of the GOOD teachers and have managed to piss of everyone. Meanwhile, the kids are suffering. The classes are huge and the teachers are mad! It is obvious to me that their heart is just not into teaching anymore. ( with the exception of a couple teachers that are still really good.-- including child Jts teacher last year) Child #1's current teacher is one of the teachers that is being forced into early retirement this year ( she is maybe-- 45 years old!?). You can tell she is resentful and just doesn't care. Either that or she had a really BAD attitude. Either way I have tried to keep the communication lines open with her all year. We have talked several times on the phone and when problems have been brought to my attention they have been taken care of immediately! So-- when I got her nasty little note on the back a math time sheet I went over the edge!!! Why am I being told NOW when there is just a week left of school that J.t is having problems in math. Well actually, the note read

J.T does not know his facts! Better find his flashcards and memorize ( underlines and !!!)

This women KNOWS I work with JT
almost every night with his math facts!!!!
This was icing on the cake to what JT told us over the weekend.

JT -- Mrs. B was reading with me and told me I was doing good. I told her it was because I had a tutor last summer so I could have a head start.

Me-- That’s wonderful child #1. You are doing great with your reading, we are very proud of you.

JT-- Then Mrs. B said " To bad you didn’t have a math tutor"

Now tell me--- is that totally inappropriate to say to an 8 year old!!!? I got a note in Jt's backpack today asking for 5.00 to get his teacher a retirement present! Ha-- yah RIGHT!!!!!!!!

Okay, now that I have ranted please know that I truly ADMIRE teachers and think they are amazing. JT had a WONDERFUL teacher last year that I believe headed him in the right direction. I spoke with her often and praised her good work!
However, there are teachers that can really mess up all the work the good teachers did. :(
Okay-- enough ranting.

Now.........
On the flip side, Jt is doing amazingly well in baseball. He is doing so well that other parents are commenting on his abilities and dedication to the sport. I am very proud of him and know that baseball is his passion. We continue to reward his good behaviors with basbeball and baseball events.

Well-- that is all for now. Hopefully I get back here to update again soon.
