Are anti-depressants the only way to help my depressed daughter?

Medications that affect brain chemistry, such as Prozac and other anti-depressants can be quite helpful for depression. This suggests that brain chemistry does play an important role in the way we think, feel, and behave. But medication is not the only way to treat depression. Cognitive behavior therapy and interpersonal psychotherapy have been shown to be as effective as medication in the treatment of depression.
